The Fourth Annual MSU Undergraduate Literature Conference kicks off today at 10 a.m. in Plaster Student Union, Room 317.
Today's panels include:
- 10:10 a.m.: Representing African Americans and Africans
- 11:15 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.: The Cultural Meanings of Comics
- 12:20-1:10 p.m.: Mode and Genre in American Literature and Culture
- 1:25-2:15 p.m.: Reading Shakespeare
- 2:30-3:20 p.m.: Language and Form
Today's events will conclude with a Keynote Address by Dr. Rich Schur, professor of English and director of the Honors Program at Drury University. His keynote address will explore the relationship between hip-hop and African American Literature. Dr. Schur's presentation will begin at 3:30 p.m. in PSU, Room 317.
