Description

Augmented with road weary tales from the field, veteran AD Kenny Chaplin dispels the myths of working in the film industry and introduces you to the Director’s Team. In this seminar, you'll learn the requisite tools to understand the duties, culture and responsibilities of the Assistant Directing department.

Kenny provides a study of the unique tasks, thought processes and skill sets of the Director’s Team. You’ll learn definitions and nuances of the 1st AD, 2nd AD, 2nd 2nd AD, Basecamp and Key Set Production Assistants. This information is seldom documented, yet if clearly understood, its proper use will guarantee you as a ‘stand out’ in the AD team and help earn you another gig.

The workshop is $25 for MSU students, $50 for U.S. military veterans and $100 for members of the public.
