Krishna Janmashthami

This is one of the great Hindu night festivals. Worshippers fast and go to temples to see dance dramas enacting scenes from the life of Lord Krishna, one of the incarnations of Vishnu and one of the most popular deities in Hinduism.

Recognizing the Festival/Holiday: Keep in mind that Hindus neither eat meat nor drink alcoholic beverages. "God bless you with prosperity and happiness" or "I wish you happiness and prosperity" are appropriate greetings for all Hindu holidays.
