Lantern Festival

This celebrates the end of the New Year season. In the Republic of China, people make elaborate lanterns to hang in the temples and hold contests to choose the most beautiful one. They also write riddles on the lanterns and compete to solve them. In the People's Republic of China, the lanterns are hung in public parks.
