Description

This is an event leading up to the Public Affairs Conference and sponsored by MSU's EcoReps and Environmental Management.  

Student organizations working with community leaders and institutions will host hands-on workshops highlighting various sustainability issues. 

The American Fisheries Society will be partnering with the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks and the James River Basin Partnership to present a riveting workshop on water quality.  The Forestry Club will demonstrate how to properly cultivate shiitake mushrooms, the Horticulture Club and the Agronomy Club will present a workshop on the correct way to propagate plants, and the Beekeeping Club will host a live hive demonstration with one of MSU’s actual hives followed by a honey tasting event.  Also, the Ozarks Amateur Astronomer’s Club will present on light pollution and the Eco-Reps will host a workshop about waste reduction and recycling.
