Dr. Desiree H. Melton is associate professor of philosophy at Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore, specializing in social and political philosophy, critical philosophy of race, existentialism and feminist theory. A much sought-after speaker, Dr. Melton’s talk at MSU is inspired by this year’s National Women’s History Month theme: Nevertheless She Persisted: Honoring Women who Fight all Forms of Discrimination against Women.
