Description

The 2018 Missouri State University Department of Music Composition Festival presents Music in Media: a Q & A session with Bob Lord and Tyler Durham. 

Our guests will discuss their experiences in writing music for media, as well as licensing and placement in film, TV and advertising. There will be ample time for discussion, so please come with questions!

Bob Lord is CEO of PARMA Recordings, a full-service music company providing services in licensing, publishing, marketing and distribution. He has an extensive background as a composer, producer and performer. With PARMA, Lord regularly produces recording sessions in countries across the globe, including the United States, Czech Republic, Russia, Cuba, Slovakia, Romania, Poland and Croatia.

MSU graduate Tyler Durham (BM, ’15) is a Los Angeles-based composer who writes award-winning music for films and games. He currently works as an assistant to Hollywood composer James Newton Howard (Hunger Games series, Fantastic Beasts, The Dark Knight, King Kong, Pretty Woman and many more).
