It has been almost two years since Bear Battalion Cadre Captain Aaron Eidem died in a tragic accident. Many of you know the story of how he put himself in harm's way the evening of Feb. 18, 2016, to help a stranded motorist.
On Jan. 18, 2018, he will receive due recognition for his heroism when Major General Christopher Hughes, the Commanding General of Cadet Command, presents Mrs. Amber Eidem with a posthumous Soldier's Medal - the United States' highest award for heroism not involving armed conflict.- Event sponsor
