Description

The newest of the multiple intelligences, and akin to Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence (SQ) can help you select and train team members who can work well with others, within the social context of the work environment, as well as convince others to cooperate with them. Everyone in the workplace needs to exert leadership in some form or another. One of the key aspects of an effective leader is the ability to develop, communicate and create a shared sense of vision - in other words, get everybody on board. SQ hones your "social radar" to help you become more aware of the feelings, needs and interests of others.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Define SQ
  • Its place within multiple intelligences, such as IQ & EQ
  • SPACE - the five elements of SQ
  • SPACE out or SPACE in
  • Reading the SQ of others
  • Assessing your SQ: the SPACE instrument
  • Analyzing your SQ
  • Managing yourself in social situations
  • Managing others in social situations
