African Studies Conference

The 2016 conference of the Mid America Alliance for African Studies (MAAAS) will take place at Missouri State University in October. The conference will feature sessions in which faculty and students present research (for registered participants), as well as two free events open to the university community:

- A diversity round table on Oct. 21 at 3:30 p.m.
- A keynote address by Africanist historian Dr. Henry Lovejoy (University of Colorado Boulder) on Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. on "The Digital Humanities and African History: Linking Space and Time to Objects and Events."
