The 19th Annual Ozarks Celebration Festival will be held today from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the Missouri State University Campus Historic Quad, located east of Carrington Hall on National Avenue.
This year's festival features over 100 artists, exhibitors, and vendors occupying 70 booths; and four performance stages will feature a variety of musicians, singers and storytellers for your entertainment pleasure.
Highlights of this year's festival include:
- At 1 p.m. the Festival will come to a standstill as we pay tribute to the lives lost during the attack on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. The Quadrivium Quartet, under the direction of Dr. John Prescott will perform Dr. Prescott's origional piece, Quadrivium written specifically for this event.
- The Kid's Area will feature hands-on art projects, games and performers throughout the day.
- MSU's Chef Quinten Easen will be holding cooking demonstrations throughout the day in the Farmer's Market Area
- Pat's Clogging Studios & Celtic Fire Irish Dance Company, accompanied by Stormy Weather, will perform on the Clear Creek Performance Stage at 3:30 p.m.
- Coppersmith Jim Lee Carr will demonstrate the art of Coppersmithing throughout the weekend.
