The 19th Annual Ozarks Celebration Festival will be held today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Missouri State University Historic Quad, located east of Carrington Hall on National Avenue.
This year's festival features over 100 artists, exhibitors and vendors occupying 70 booths; four performance stages feature more than 150 musicians, singers and storytellers.
Highlights of this year's event include:
- The popular Kid's Area where kids of all ages can play games from days gone by, make their own jump rope, have their face painted, create their own art project and be entertained by performers who have been selected just for them.
- Missouri State University Chef Quinten Easen will be providing cooking demonstrations throughout the weekend in the Festival's Farmer's Market.
- The Young Fiddlers Concert, featuring nine outstanding fiddlers under the age of 18, will be held on the Ozarks Jubilee Stage beginning at 2 p.m.
- Smokin Wheels BBQ will be selling the best BBQ in Missouri throughout the weekend in the Festival's Concession Area.
