A transit of Mercury across the Sun takes place when the planet Mercury comes between the Sun and the Earth, and Mercury is seen as a small black dot moving across the face of the Sun. Weather permitting, the Ozarks Amateur Astronomers Club will set up properly filtered telescopes on the top level of Bear Park South from 6:15 A.M. until 1:15 P.M. This event will not take place if it is cloudy and/or raining.
Reminder: No one should attempt to view the Sun without proper filtering; eyesight can be permanently damaged!
