Open Forum: Executive Director for Multicultural Programs

Yvania Garcia-Pusateri is the Assistant Director of Diversity Affairs and Coordinator of Diverse Student Development in the Office of the Diversity Affairs at Miami University of Ohio. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Leadership, Culture and Curriculum program in the Educational Leadership Department at Miami University. Her dissertation explores how multicultural centers foster the identity development of Latino students as well as how it impacts their experiences at predominately white institutions (PWI). She plans to focus her research on multicultural centers and their connection to identity development as well as their impact on students of color at PWIs. Yvania has experience in large scale programming, student organization advisement, fostering campus partnerships, social media management, advocacy, strategic planning, supervision, and coalition building.  We are excited for Yvania to visit Missouri State University.
