Girls on the Run Spring 5k

Girls on the Run of Southwest Missouri, in partnership with Gamma Phi Beta, Delta Nu, will be holding their end of season 5k on Missouri State University’s campus on April 30^th, 2016.

Girls on the Run is an after school program for girls in the 3^rd-8^th grade that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. At the end of the season, girls participate in a celebratory 5k. The completion of the race shows them that with hard work and dedication any goal can be reached.

Registration for the event will begin in Carrington Hall between 8:30-9:30 am and the 5k will begin at 10:00 am by the North Mall. The event is expected to bring in over 400 people including participants, volunteers, and parents.

Missouri State University students and faculty are encouraged to get involved with the event. The event is open to the community, anyone interested in participating in the 5k can register here. The event is also looking for volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, and especially to cheer alongside the race way. Volunteers can sign up here.
