Explainable and Actionable Artificial Intelligence for Social Good - Cancer Drug Discovery, One Health and Local News Coverage

In his talk, Dr. Shyu will introduce an eXplainable and act(X)ionable artificial intelligence framework that is designed to ensure AI fairness to address issues related to sub-populations and offer tailored solutions. He will discuss case studies using the X(squared)AI concept in drug repositioning for cancers, one health in biosecurity, and local news coverage to better serve underserved populations.

Dr. Chi-Ren Shyu is the Paul K. and Dianne Shumaker Professor for Biomedical Informatics and the founding Director of the University of Missouri Institute for Data Science and Informatics (MU IDSI).
