Description

The Annual Missouri Egyptological Symposium this year (#MOEgypt5) is enitled New Directions in Teaching Ancient Egypt and Nubia and will focus on teaching, especially in the K-12 setting. The event is FREE and VIRTUAL, sponsored by the American Research Center in Egypt, Missouri Chapter, and will take place on Saturday October 21, from 9am-2:30pm, but feel free to stop into all or just some of the sessions. The event will feature talks by established Egyptologists, PhD students, and in-service teachers. The keynote (10/21 9:30am) is presented by Dr. Jen Thum of the Harvard Art Museum, entitled Learning as We Go: Developing Best Practices for 'Teaching Ancient Egypt' in Museums.
