7:00 PM - 8:00 PM, September 27, 2023
Description

Thom Hutchison, senior manager for Data Science and AI Husch Blackwell

Abstract: We will explore the evolution, current applications and future implications of Generative Artificial Intelligence in the business landscape. Beginning with a historical overview of Generative AI and the advances that made it possible, we will examine how this technology impacts corporate America and radically alters business processes that have remained static for decades.

We will consider applications in use today and look forward to how Generative AI is poised to transform the business and employment sectors in the coming years. We'll dispel the common misconception that AI will render many human jobs obsolete and argue that Generative AI will be indispensable for success in our radically changing world.

This lecture is intended for students, faculty and business professionals interested in understanding the profound impact of AI on business operations and strategies.
