Biology Seminar: "The Ozark Underground Laboratory and Tumbling Creek Cave"

Biology Seminar: "The Ozark Underground Laboratory and Tumbling Creek Cave"
Date and time
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM, September 22, 2023
Description

This is our first biology department seminar. My Stream Ecology lab group will host Dave Woods, who earned both BS in Wildlife Bio and MS in Biology (research in Dr. Alicia Mathis’s lab) here at MO State. He has worked as a fish biologist with MDC and is now a lead scientist at the Ozark Underground Lab, located just north of Bull Shoals reservoir.

He will not have a lot of time to spend with us (he will arrive by about 2:30), but he is very interested to meet students. We are therefore trying for the first time a little “mixer” with free snacks and drinks just outside the seminar room (Tem/Blunt/SCNC 143) for 30-45 minutes before the seminar start time of 4 p.m. Please come by and mingle, meet Dave and catch up with others in biology.
