
In this presentation, I will delve into the relationship between language and politics within educational contexts. Educational institutions wield significant influence in molding linguistic ideologies, actively participating in their construction and dissemination. Notably, textbooks serve as instrumental tools for promoting distinct linguistic ideologies. I aim to analyze the glotonyms encountered in language textbooks used in Spain. Specifically, I intend to examine how various linguistic varieties, including Castilian, Catalan, Galician and Valencian are referred to within these textbooks.
