
Britt Ransom is an artist whose practice and teaching explore conflicts within our shared climate through digital fabrication and installation processes. Ransom works between New Orleans and Pittsburgh, where she is an associate professor of art in sculpture, installation and site work at Carnegie Mellon University.
Ransom is the recipient of the Joan Mitchell Center Residency, Los Angeles Clean Tech Incubator Residency, ZERO1 American Arts Incubator Fellowship, The Hopper Prize, The Artic Circle Residency and many other awards. Her work has been most recently shown at Honor Fraser in Los Angeles, Contemporary Art Center New Orleans, Torrance Art Museum, Texas Women’s University and the University of Dallas.
Her writing has been published in the Leonardo Journal published by MIT Press, the 3D Additvist Cookbook and the Routledge Handbook on Biology in Art, Architecture and Design.
