Discovery of gravitational wave after one hundred years of the proposal of General Theory of Relativity as geometrical description of gravity opens up a new window to gain informations about our universe. The spectacular discovery of this in LIGO experiments marks a new era of our communication system through gravitational wave spectroscopy. In a simple language , I will briefly discuss about the theoretical description of gravitational wave from General theory of Relativity and it's consequent experimental detection in LIGO.This seminar will be via Zoom.
