
Mathematics and Imaging Science
Irene Fonseca, Carnegie Mellon University
Dr. Fonseca is a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society, and a Fellow and former president of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. Her primary focus is on research and training in applied mathematics at the broad interface between mathematics, the physical sciences and engineering. In this talk Dr. Fonseca will address the mathematical treatment of image processing, including inpainting, recolorization, denoising, and machine learning schemes.
