According to Mahzarin Banaji and Anthony Greenwald, everyone has some form of implicit bias that impacts his or her relations with others. It is easy to overlook how experience and background influence the bridges people build and with whom those bridges are built. How and by whom are these biases imputed? How may a person work to perceive implicit bias? Is it learned, and if so, how can it be unlearned? In what respect does personal bias play in the connections made with friends and colleagues, as well as with strangers and rivals on the other? How do personal biases impact interactions in different settings, such as work, school and social settings? What impact does bias have on the nation and a global society that pushes and pulls between isolation and engagement?
