
William Fulton will join our campus via Zoom from the Kinder Institute for Urban Research, Rice University, where he is the director. He is a former mayor of Ventura, California, and director of planning & economic development for the City of San Diego, California.
He is the author of several books that focus on the issues and complexities of urban planning in metropolises such as Los Angeles, California. He currently serves as a board chair for Metro Lab Network, a national network of research partnerships between cities and universities, and vice-chair of LINK Houston, a transportation equity advocacy group. Fulton holds master's degrees in mass communication from The American University and urban planning from the University of California, Los Angeles.
