Online Ozarks Author Talk w/ Amy Engel

Please join us for an author talk featuring New York Times bestselling author Amy Engel. She will discuss her career as a criminal trial lawyer, her path to creative writing and her works. This online event is presented by the Ozarks Studies Institute, an initiative of the MSU Libraries. 

Engel is the author of "The Familiar Dark," published in March 2020. Set in the mythic Missouri Ozarks small town of Barren Springs, the story explores the bonds of family — women doing the best they can for their daughters in dire circumstances — as well as a story about how even the darkest and most terrifying places can provide the comfort of home. 

Other works by Engel include "The Roanoke Girls" and The Book of Ivy series.
