Description

Dr. Dawn Drake, associate professor of geography in the Department of Biology at Missouri Western State University, will deliver a presentation on the rural-urban fringe. Find out something the 1920 Census discovered for the first time. Listen to a combination of humorous stories and serious anecdotes.

Drake's current research focuses on agriculture challenges and opportunities when adjacent to outer urban areas. She is currently working on a book about global food shortages for ABC-Clio's Flashpoints series and an edited volume on the economic geographies of livestock.
