COM Week 2020 turns to research and politics when Dr. Ben Warner presents, “Practical Solutions to Political Polarization…with special emphasis on forthcoming studies about intergroup contact as a promising strategy to reduce polarization.”
An alum of MSU, Warner is an associate professor of communication and co-director of the Political Communication Institute at the University of Missouri. His research examines the communication causes of, consequences from and solutions to political polarization. He also studies the effects of campaign communication, with a special emphasis on presidential debates.
