"Designing Learning Activities for SCALE-UP STEM Classes"

In this workshop, SCALE-UP will be introduced and then participants will ‘become’ a SCALE-UP class and engage in a brief activity to experience the learning environment firsthand.

The activity will be deconstructed in a follow-up discussion to answer participant questions about assignment design, managing teams, grading and any other issues. Participants will spend the remainder of the time working with guidance on developing a SCALE-UP activity to address a challenging concept in one of their own courses.
