Description

The Department of English's Creative Writing Program will present writers, Amanda Marbais and Erika T. Wurth, each reading from their individual works. This event is free and open to the public.

Marbais's fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Hobart, Fugue, Joyland and Moon City Review. She has been featured as part of Electric Literature's Recommended Reading series. She has written reviews and cultural essays for Your Impossible, Voice and Paste Magazine. Her debut short story collection, Claiming a Body, won the 2018 Moon City Fiction Award.

Wurth's publications include two novels, two collections of poetry and a collection of short stories. She teaches creative writing at Western Illinois University and has been a guest writer at the Institute of American Indian Arts. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in numerous journals, including Boulevard, The Writer's Chronicle, Waxwing, Fiction and Kenyon Review.
