11:30 AM - 1:00 PM, January 22, 2020
Description

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Missouri was a center of the lime industry in the U.S. This industry consumed massive amounts of wood to fuel the kilns used in lime production. In this presentation, we will discuss our investigation of the effects of this industry on deforestation in the Ozark region of SW Missouri.
