Presented by Mark Biggs, Associate Dean, College of Arts and Letters
Mark’s description: When I arrived at MSU over thirty years ago, I’d experienced many great teachers, but I’d never had a meaningful session with an academic advisor. I’ve learned what a loss that was and now understand the critical connection between teaching and advising. And how especially important good advising is for both our high achieving and at-risk students. Here are a few of the most important things I’ve learned along my journey from “unaware to proactive advisor.”
Seating is limited to 42 people.
