Thank you for your interest in volunteering to be a Speed Networking mentor!

Network with future alumni 

This event helps students learn about networking and discovering the “hidden job market,” while offering the opportunity to interact with local professionals. Registration is open to all Missouri State students.

As a networking “mentor” you allow students the opportunity to practice their networking skills through conversation. This is also a great opportunity for you to meet upcoming graduates and share about your own organization.

This event is divided into two segments.

Segment one

At approximately 5 p.m., begins with a brief program from our sponsoring departments. 

Alumni and students will participate in 5-minute seated “speed rounds” where students will practice introductions one-on-one with .

The first segment runs about an hour.

Segment two

Alumni participants introduce themselves so students can identify anyone with whom they wish to connect.

Alumni and students casually network with each other. 

The second segment runs about 45 minutes. Volunteers may leave when they need to after self-introductions.

Check-in - 4:30 p.m.; Event starts at 5:00 p.m.

Location - Meyer Alumni Center Turner Hospitality Room

Attire - Business casual
