Description

Dr. Siming Liu is an Assistant Professor Candidate in Computer Science.

His research focuses on investigating heuristic search algorithms to generate high-quality micro management in combat scenarios for real-time strategy (RTS) games. In his study he uses influence maps and potential fields as a basis representation to evolve short-term positioning and movement tactics. The goal of his work is to use evolutionary algorithms to build a complete RTS bot capable of performing as well as human experts.
