Park Central Branch Library presents an evening of art and culture for Art Walk in October. At 6 p.m., Hanna Flanagan, journalism major and art history/communications minor at Missouri State University, will present A Review of Byzantine Iconoclasm and Imperial Power During the Eighth Century. At 7 p.m., Nigerian artist Ibiyinka Alao, first prize recipient of the United Nations International Art Competition, will present Visions of True Colors, about his work and display samples. Alao’s paintings are a rare collection of an artist who has spent 21 years expressing a peaceful view of integration of cultures in our world today through the use of colors. On display, 6-9 p.m.
