Gary Pendergrass (PE, RG, F.NSPE) is principal geological engineer at GeoEngineers, Inc. and MSU and Missouri S&T alumnus.
Pendergrass has managed several large projects, including the Times Beach Dioxin Project, the Missouri Carbon Sequestration Project (which involved MSU faculty and students) and the John Twitty Energy Center Landfill Expansion/Groundwater Characterization Project (which involved several MSU alumni). Pendergrass will demonstrate how all of the projects involved geology, geography, planning and geospatial sciences. His talk will also emphasize some of the principles that have guided him through his career, such as discipline, accountability, seizing opportunities, willingness to step outside of a comfort zone and achieving balance.
